We founded the company in 1996 in a small office in Chiswick, West London in order to sell men’s pyjamas and nightshirts to those discerning people who were looking for fine cotton nightwear.
Shortly afterwards, having outgrown that office, we moved to Anthony’s family home in the heart of Norfolk. Now we have plenty of space; having converted the old stables into an office and storage for all the cotton pyjamas and nightshirt stock. From here we despatch sleepwear all around the world to our customers who value traditional patterns and good old fashioned workmanship.
What makes our men’s nightwear so special? Well we spend a great deal of time finding just the right cotton, it has to be of a very high quality to be fine but durable and for the warmer weights it has also to be soft and yet strong. The standard of the workmanship of all our cotton nightshirts, pyjamas and nightcaps is extremely good. We now use a small family firm in Eastern Europe who have a very strong work ethic and take a real pride in all that they do, and are fastidious about quality.
All our ‘pjs’, as so many of our younger wearers call them, have proper cotton tie cords around the waist, natural shell buttons and are generously cut.
We exhibit at a few prestigious fairs throughout the year where you may come and see us wearing our pyjamas and cotton nightshirts. Our regular ones are The Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, Burghley Horse Trials & Country Living Christmas Fair.
